From the Spring 2020 Inscape Editorial Staff

Inscape Magazine stands in solidarity with and seeks to amplify the mission of the Black Lives Matter movement and to participate in ensuring freedom and justice for Black/African American people. As a literary magazine it is our duty to support the diversity of humanity by celebrating the power of art & literature to effect positive world change. We seek, especially, to affirm, to showcase, and to champion Black/African American student voices. We believe that now is the time to use our collective voices to denounce racism, to call out and to eradicate systemic white privilege, and to stand in solidarity by affirming that Black lives matter.  We are committed to lifting our voices in solidarity. We are committed to being an integral part of the movement. We are committed to making a difference in the conversation.
Drafted by Blog Editor & Special Projects Managing Editor Coco and Blog Editor Karina Diaz, June 8, 2020
