it is February 5th
2018
in the last three years
there have been 52 school shootings
in the united states
118 individuals were injured
and 24 shootings were fatal
to 48 students faculty and family
adults and children
taking and taken because
of access and irresponse
when the classroom
the safest place
a place to grow and to become
is made a tomb for kindergartners
babies
and nobody acts
we think and we pray and
do fucking nothing
there must not be surprise
when it gets worse
it is February 5th

and I’m scared
but not such that I can’t see the truth
