Consuelo Rios is a PCC student. She is a F.I.R.S.T board member, and a Community Engagement Leader for CORE, an amazing program that provides support to formerly incarcerated and system impacted students. She will be graduating this year with an AA in Sociology, and transferring in the Fall of 2022 to UCR to get her BA in sociology. She plans to continue to a masters program and become a school counselor. Being system impacted, along with the negative stereotypes that come with it, she hopes to continue to empower students that have been affected by the prison system in any way. Working on Healing Arts has been a great experience for her, she loves art herself, as it has helped her get through her healing process throughout the years.
